DataPrivacy.hu is a thematic weblog dedicated to the development of privacy and data protection in the Hungarian jurisdiction.

We provide updates and comments on the local implementation of the European Data Protection Directive, guidances of the Hungarian Data Protection Agency as well as on European privacy related developments relevant to Hungarian law. Since the website of the Hungarian Data Protection Commissioner currently does not provide updates on its jurisprudence for the public in English, we decided to maintain the present weblog in a bilingual form, both in English as well as in Hungarian.

Practically, the main language of the website is Hungarian but we will post the most important gudiances also in English. Furthermore we posted summaries of the Hungarian data protection legislation in English which we will update on a regular basis.
